Zac Kaye earned his Master’s of Jewish Communal Service with a focus in Jewish Education from the Hornstein School of Jewish Communal Service at Brandeis University. He also holds a certificate in Education from the University of Manchester, a certificate in Counseling from South West London (UK) College, and a certificate in Family Life Education from Boston University.
Before serving as the Founding Executive Director of Hillel of Greater Toronto for 18 years, Kaye worked as Executive Director of the Hillel of New South Wales, Australia, and as Executive Director of the Hillel of Greater Vancouver. Prior to embarking on his Hillel career, Zac was a JCC director in the UK. Kaye has also served as Interim Director of the University of Minnesota for the 2013-14 academic year.
A high point of Zac's career was the participation of the three Presidents of the Toronto university campuses, at Zac's farewell to Hillel in Toronto, representing a combined student population of over 120,000 . Each of them spoke on Zac's impact personally on each of them and his overall commitment to each of the Universities in making them a better place, not only for Jewish students but for all students. Zac was equally honored to have the Hillel Lounge at York University renamed the Zac Kaye Lounge.
