This year's activities:
Freshman Fest (Thursday August 18 - Friday August 19) :Get a jump-start on your college experience at Cornell Hillel's 8th annual Freshmen Fest at the Hoffman Ropes Course! Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to meet other Jewish freshmen and connect with upperclassmen who can show you 'the ropes'. Move in early to your dorm and start your orientation by creating friendships, memories, and seeing what Cornell Hillel has to offer you. After the ropes course, games, s'mores, and a night under the stars, you'll be ready to begin your Cornell career with a great group of friends!
Shabbat Dinner Experience (Friday, August 19)
Shabbat Dinner Experience is a great opportunity to acclimate both students and their families to the Cornell Hillel community. The night of freshmen move in, over 230 students and family members join together to celebrate Shabbat. This traditional dinner is enhanced by an awesome a cappella performance and a thought-provoking d'var torah. You do not want to miss out on the biggest Shabbat dinner of the year!
Balch Lawn BBQ (Monday, August 22)
The BBQ is a great way to learn about the many Jewish organizations on campus, while enjoying fresh kosher food. From Hillel committees to the Klezmer band, each group has its own table so you can meet representatives and get involved in clubs before classes even start!
